In cities and counties across Virginia, brand new small cell wireless facilities are being constructed from scratch or added to exisiting structures (like water towers, buildings such as schools and fire departments, or large pre-existing telecommunication macro cell towers).
During the Spring 2020 Virginia Legislative Session, lawmakers made it legal for telecommunications companies to hang their equipment on any pre-existing utility pole; which can include the one(s) on your property or on the street right outside your home.
